In a time of turmoil, Kevin Zhou found an opportunity. When the Covid-19 pandemic shuttered in-person operations, restaurants needed a way to go online. So, many turned to Selflane, a delivery service Zhou launched in 2017 with his partner Charlie Liu. Unlike other services, Selflane does not charge the restaurant commission on delivery orders.
